For more than 15 years, I have worked as a results-oriented content strategist, editor, investigator, copywriter and journalist. Yes – that’s many different things BUT investigating, analysing, writing and reporting are the common threads. As a marketer, I’ve helped increase site traffic by hundreds of thousands. I’ve helped companies achieve their business goals whether that was leads, app downloads or engagement. And, I’ve helped brands improve their digital presence. As an intelligence analyst and journalist, I’ve reported the news at a national broadcaster and investigated high-risk targets for a Big 4 company. I am a doer. I enjoy project management and methodologically taking a project from A-Z. I enjoy working hard. I can keep the focus on business needs and goals. And, I enjoy knowledge-sharing and training. |

VI have worked in Budapest, Jakarta and my native Melbourne. I have a Masters in Journalism from Australia’s leading journalism school – RMIT University – and a BA in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne.
My career journey
I began my career in marketing in the construction industry before deciding to study journalism, which had been something I’d wanted to try back when I was a teenager. From there, I landed a job as a radio journalist at SBS covering national and international news. I loved this role because I really enjoy tracking down people, interviewing, researching and pulling it all together into an interesting story. I didn’t even mind the overnight shifts!
After this I moved to Budapest, Hungary where I was the Managing Editor of a travel website. Here I led a small team of staff writers and commissioned freelance writers to deliver clickable content. I was proud to establish the brand’s social media presence and that during my tenure there was a huge jump in traffic to the site.
With my background in journalism, I was hired by KPMG as a Senior Intelligence Analyst, which saw me investigating individuals and entities and delivering risk assessments. This was a fantastic and fascinating role that introduced me to the world of corporate investigations and due diligence.
I then joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a Senior Content Creator, where I led a team of writers and freelancers in creating hundreds of SEO articles for several P&G brands. This role included content mapping, writing and editing, as well as coaching all our long-form copywriters to deliver high-quality, on-brand SEO content. This role helped me understand how the world’s most well-known brands harness the power of good content to drive engagement and, ultimately, increase sales.
From here, I joined an SasS start-up as its Head of Content where I was responsible for delivering a website redesign, mapping a new client onboarding flow, copywriting and working on a LinkedIn 1:1 marketing bot. B2B marketing is always tough, but I was able to introduce the brand to key due diligence players in the EU region.
Now, having just moved back to Melbourne, I am looking for the next role I can sink my teeth into. You can view my CV here.
